The Festival promotes the development and appreciation of fine film and the arts and stimulates cultural understanding and exchange.

The Festival accepts:

FEATURE FILMS: Open to all filmmakers worldwide. Films of with a running time of 60 minutes or more. First time director of feature length film

DOCUMENTARIES: Any length is permitted

SHORTS: Maximum running time, 35 minutes

WORLD CINEMA: Open to features, shorts, docs and animation produced outside the U.S. English subtitles.

U.S. CINEMA: Independent films (shorts, docs, features, animation) produced in the U.S. Open to all lengths and all genres.

ARTS IN FILM: Any length is permitted. Films made about the arts, such as literature, opera, dance, painting, photography, music, filmmaking, culinary arts, theatre, sculpture…

ECO CINEMA and FOOD ON FILM: Open to features, shorts, docs and animation with an environmental message. FOOD ON FILM is included in this section particularly 'sustainable' foods and farming.

CINEMA OF CONSCIENCE: Open to features, shorts, docs and animation made regarding human rights, civil liberties, social justice and/or issues you feel passionate about.

CINELATINO: Open to features, shorts, docs and animation from Latin America, South America Cuba, Portugal, and Spain.
