The Porto Femme – International Film Festival intends to be a festival dedicated to people who identify themselves as women.
Films produced after January 1st, 2018; Not available on web; Films that aren’t completed (work in progress) won’t be accepted but only the final versions of them;
FICTION – short and feature fiction films. Shorts may not exceed 40 minutes and feature films should be at least 40 minutes. ANIMATION – short and feature animation films. Shorts may not exceed 40 minutes and feature films should be at least 40 minutes. DOCUMENTARY – short and feature documentary films. Shorts may not exceed 40 minutes and feature films should be at least 40 minutes. EXPERIMENTAL – Experimental films with a maximum duration of 20 minutes.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION: Films made by people who identify themselves as women, with no age limit or submitted films by the director, or any country restriction.
XX ELEMENT COMPETITION:

Films made by mixed teams, i.e. people who identify themselves as men or others, if at least one of the following eligibility conditions is guaranteed:

Films addressing women’s issues;

Films where a woman plays a prominent role in the work (e.g.: Co-Director, Producer, Screenwriter, Main Actress, DP, Editor, etc).
NATIONAL COMPETITION: Films directed by Portuguese women, with no age limit or limit of works registered by director, or countries restriction.
STUDENTS COMPETITION: Films directed by women who are in school, regardless of the degree of schooling. There’s no age limit, no limit of works registered by director or countries restriction.
