“BASED ON NOVEL” FEATURE SECTION – International Festival of Cinema and Literature of Trofa aims to advertise and promote the works of film and audiovisual media quality, that highlights the links between cinema and literature:

The films are selected by a committee of experts, being accepted long and short films.

Open to films produced after October, 2012.

Serving as the goal of the Festival, while the film adaptations of literary works.

If you belong to the category "short film", the duration of the projection shall not exceed 15 minutes, including generic.

Films must be submitted in the original version. It is considered as any original language in which the movie is or will be widespread in the country where it was performed and produced. Copies should have subtitles in Portuguese or English.

DOCUMENTARY SECTION: Documentaries have a competitive nature, and aim to advertise, promote and reward works of film and audiovisual quality in aspects of multimedia documentaries.

The films are selected by a committee of experts, being open for enrollment long and short films.

In the "short film", the duration of the projection may not exceed 17 minutes, generic included.

In the category "medium-length", length is between 17 and 60 minutes.

In the "feature", the duration is longer than 60 minutes.

The documentary strand Cinetrofa is composed of the following areas:

- Biographies

- Ecology and Biodiversity

- History and Civilization

- Culture and Heritage

- Food and Wine

- Religion / Pilgrimage
