The competitions 2018 will include:
• Productions from Germany and the Netherlands
• Short Feature Films, Animated Films, Experimental Films, Documentary Films and
Children's Films
• with a maximum film length of 30 minutes

The Niederrhein Filmfestival has the following competition sections:

• Competition Niederrhein:

1.                   Production from the Niederrhein region
2. Supraregional productions, which refer in their content to the region Niederrhein (for example dialect, tradition, culinary, architecture, music, culture, personalities etc.

• Competition Netherlands.
• Regional Film Competition Kreis Wesel.
