In order to participate in the Arab Features and the Arab Shorts competitions, the film must be produced or co-produced by at least one of the eligible countries. Alternatively, the director of the film must be of one of the eligible countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen.

Features must have a running time of 55 minutes or more.
Shorts must have a running time of 35 minutes.

Preference will be given to films produced during the last two years.
