The festival is open to any director, regardless of age or nationality. A person or group may submit several works.

Works in any format that has not been presented in previous editions to Zinexín will be accepted. Works that are not in Spanish, must be subtitled in this language.

Short film length should not exceed 20 minutes, except for short films competing for the La Roda Create prize, which duration should not exceed 10 minutes.
