The festival is open to short films of all production techniques, including animation, documentary, drama, experimental or artist film and hybrid work from low to high budgets. 

General requirements:

• Films must have a maximum duration of 15 minutes including credits.
• If the film is not in English then English subtitles are required.

Categories:

Fiction Film: Open to any genre of fiction film including animation, and experimental. 

Documentary Film: Open to all documentary films. 

South West Film: Highlighting and celebrating the best film-making talent within the local area, you must currently reside in one of the following counties: Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire to be eligible for this award. All genres of film are allowed.

Student Film: Open to anyone currently in education, for any genre of film.  

Comedy Film: Open to all comedy films.

Animation Film: Open to all animation films
