- Productions made out of the Spanish territory by Spanish directors or foreigners of any nationality are allowed.

- Short films spoken in a language other than Spanish, the copy must include subtitles in this language.

- The number of short films submitted is unlimited.

- The short films should have been produced or released after January 1, 2017.

- The duration should not exceed 30 minutes including credits.

- The theme is free but in relation to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals 2015 and Sustainable Development 2030.
