NewFilmmakers LA (NFMLA) is a monthly film festival with an annual award show for each year. We screen year round, on a monthly basis, and submissions are in consideration for all upcoming festival dates, not solely the month you apply.

Shorts must be under 40 minutes total runtime. Features must be 41 minutes minimum with a 180 minutes maximum total runtime.

Only accept films that have completed post production within a maximum of 12 months from the date of their submission to the festival.

Premiere status is NOT required, however, films with an LA premiere status are preferred.
