The Festival is open to animation films of every genre, topic, format and screening media (film, video, television, Internet, smartphones, etc. ).

Special interest is granted to those works where the filmmaker’s expressive intention stands out from market requirements; and also to student productions.

Participation is open for artists all over the world, with special interest in those from Latin America. 

Only films completed after January 1st 2017 and which have not been registered in former editions of the festival will be accepted.

The Festival’s official languages are Spanish and English. If the film has dialogue in another language, the entrant must enter a subtitled copy in either Spanish or English.

The organizers may exhibit the selected short films after the festival as part of touring exhibition programs. These screenings may be public or private, and be held anywhere in the world by the festival itself or by third parties, but only with free admittance and on cultural or educational purposes.
