Official Competition for Long Films of Mediterranean countries.
- Long narratives and Long documentaries are accepted.
- All entries must be long films produced wholly or partially by a Mediterranean country during the years of 2015 or 2016.
- Films must not have been screened commercially in Egyptian cinemas prior to the festival period.
- Participating films must have English subtitles
Short Film Competition of the Mediterranean countries
- Short narratives and short documentaries are accepted.
- Short narrative’s runtime must not exceed 30 minutes.
- Shot documentary’s runtime must not exceed 30 minutes.
- Subtitles language: English
Arab Short Film Competition
- Arab Short narratives and short documentaries are accepted.
- Arab Short Narrative’s runtime must not exceed 30 minutes.
- Arab Short Documentary, runtime must not exceed 30 minutes.
Mohammed Bayoumi Competition for Short films by Alexandrian Youth Filmmakers
- The competition include: short narratives and short documentaries.
- This competition is restricted to Alexandrian youth filmmakers.
- Short feature film runtime, must be not exceeds 30 minutes.
- Short documentary film runtime, must be not exceeds 30 minutes.
- The festival department may surpass on the runtime of any film in some cases
Egyptian panorama of long narrative films:
- The film may be wholly or partly Egyptian production
- The production of the film must between the previous festival’s edition (2015) and the upcoming edition in 2016.
- Participating films does not have to be screened in commercial cinemas prior to the 2016 edition
