The Visual Radio Television Festival will be a live event screening for the filmmakers and the general public. Selected films and videos will also be broadcast on television, on the VJTV Network throughout Sacramento County, on Comcast cable channel 90 on the dates of April 30th, and May 1st, 2016.

Web/New Media Series: Film and/or video that is designed to be a part of an episodic series. Submit only one episode that best represents your show.
Short Film: Narrative short length films, fiction, and/or fictionalized accounts of historical events with a runtime of under 40 minutes.
Feature Film: Narrative feature length films, fiction, fictionalized accounts of historical events with a runtime greater than 40 minutes.
Documentary: Non-fiction films documenting aspects of reality including biographies, human rights, education, economic, entertainment, labor, law, religion, politics, science, travel, and more.
Animation: Films that are created using traditional and/or digital techniques, including stop motion, and films that also contain live action along with animation. Motion comics created with computer or using traditional techniques are also accepted.
Experimental: Films using non-traditional narrative, filming techniques, editing, and sound.
Music Video: Films that are created to showcase a song or songs utilizing visual imagery produced for promotional and artistic purposes. Runtime must not exceed 10 minutes.
International Film: Films that are fictional, non-fictional, documentary, animated, experimental, musical, or web/television series that were created and filmed in locations outside of the United States. All runtimes are accepted. All non-english speaking films must have subtitles in english.
Television Series/Special: Short or feature length films that cover the genres of: episodic series, documentaries, talk show, sports, travel, experimental, animated, health, science, family entertainment, news, musical and concert series, historical biographies, that were created and designed to be screened on broadcast television and digital distribution.
